CIL’s Move is Likely to Improve Rakes Availability

<p><span style="font-size:9.0pt">CIL decision to allow generators to lift their entire coal requirement by road from FY 2018-19 is a positive move in amid of power crisis looming in major states of India. Delhi and Gujarat has approached Ministry to supply coal, grudging of coal stock for less than a day. CIL is in position to make coal available for thermal plants, but is bottlenecked due to rakes unavailability and railway corridor constraint.</span></p> <p><span style="font-size:9.0pt">This is poised to increase availability of coal rakes for movement of coal to power plants situated far away from coal mines.</span></p>
