Government Pushes to Expedite the Conversion of Conventional Internal Combustion Engines (IECs) to Electric vehicles (EVs).

<p>Government is set to push for adaptation of electric vehicles over combustion engines. To cart off preference of consumers and manufacturers, government has tightened fuel efficiency norms for emission to be lower by 20-15%. Initially, cars, three-wheeler and two-wheeler industry are targeted segment, in sustenance transport ministry has also mandated fuel efficiency norms that require cars to be 30% more fuel efficient by 2022, which is poised to push demand for EVs.</p> <p><span style="font-family:calibri,sans-serif; font-size:11pt">Blueprint for Electric vehicles market is set, as the cost of EV soars high, government is providing low interest loans for buying EVs and allowing no permit for public transport and taxi services. Augmenting Infrastructure for EVs is also made malleable by allowing use of CSR funds for setting up charging facilities. In long run usage of EVs is certain to reduce C02 emissions and bring the cost of EVs at parity with combustion engines Vehicles.&nbsp;</span></p>
