Foreign Players to Gain Undue Advantage in solar SECI Auction

<p><span style="font-size:11.0pt">SECI in its upcoming auctions have amended its bid document for auction thereby raising ceiling limit from 750 MW to 1800 MW. This may provide undue advantage to foreign bidders who have deep pockets and low cost financing. Such practice is likely to inhibit competitive attributes of auction by eliminating serious players from the pool on basis of net-worth, turnover, line of credits and bank guarantee limitations. This may not provide a fair opportunity to domestic players.</span></p> <p><span style="font-size:11pt">Despite these issues transmission bottleneck still needs to be cart off for timely commissioning of project within stipulated deadlines.&nbsp;&nbsp;</span></p>
