Solar Tariffs Again Hits a Low of Rs. 2.44 per unit in SECI Auction

<p><span style="font-size:11.0pt">Solar tariffs has once again fallen to low of Rs. 2.44 per unit, earlier same tariff was achieved in SECI auction for projects at the Bhadla Solar Park in May 2017. </span></p> <p><span style="font-size:11pt">Development in China has piloted fall in prices of Chinese solar modules. In anticipation of unforeseen rapid development, government of China has frozen solar project development in country. With local demand falling, Chinese solar manufacturers have no choice but to export, leading to a weakening of prices.</span></p> <p><span style="font-size:11pt">Besides falling solar panel prices, Government must also mull over transmission bottlenecks and regulatory certainty to make this segment more eye-catching.</span></p>
