Lack of Transmission Infrastructure Planning may Dwindle Ambitious Renewable Energy Targets

<p><span style="font-size:11.0pt">Government must proactively contemplate transmission planning and emphasis should equally be made on both Generation and Transmission segment. Priority needs to be aligned with evacuation arrangements, as unavailability of transmission lines to the nearest substation stalls the project. Developers have now turned sceptical regarding transmission availability while participating in&nbsp; bid. Planning of government should be as such Commissioning schedules of sub-station matches with those of renewables projects, else this would create a condition where projects are ready to generate power but could not commission due to inadequate power evacuation arrangements, resulting in time &amp; cost overrun.</span></p> <p>&nbsp;</p>
