Paris Summit Commitment Puts Pressure on Government to Enforce Stringent Norms

Government in Paris summit held in 2015 has shown commitment to mitigate climate changes by limiting control over Greenhouse Gas (GHG) Emissions. International pressures has forced government to bring down emission levels of old power plants to national standard by 2022. This would require technological augmentation by improving emission norms of boiler. To mitigate environment risk old plants may be allowed to shut-down.

Emission levels have risen to a much higher than standard levels, which have raised concern among the countries. Need of hours is to bring convergence between energy access and climate change. Adoption of renewable energy would pave a path for achieving reduction of carbon footprints and achieving ambitious renewable energy targets of 100 GW by 2022.
