Government's Agility to Reap Reduced Solar Prices, Plans Bids for Large MW Scale Based Projects

<p>Solar Prices is poised to fall due to China decision to clench the pace of solar capacity addition in the country. Solar Equipment manufacturers in China are forced to target Indian Markets to supply solar equipment at reduced prices. It is likely that Solar prices may reduce by Rs. 0.20 - 0.30 per unit. To take advantage of falling solar prices, government has planned for solar capacity additions for big MW scale based project and is expected to invite bids in the next month.&nbsp;&nbsp;</p> <p>These greenfield project is expected to generate more than 20,000 jobs and reduce carbon footprints. Solar Capacity addition on large scale is need of hour so as to achieve target of 51 % of renewable share by 2030.&nbsp;</p>
