Uncertainty dwindles faith of Investors in Renewable Sector

<p><span style="font-size:11.0pt">Investors are shying away to pour their investments in either wind or solar segment, due to risk and uncertainties attributable to dynamic regulatory environment and project execution issues. Investors have expressed their concerns on the falling renewable tariff which limits their returns. They also fear&nbsp;for the assets becoming NPAs due to persistent transmission inadequacy. Due to regulatory uncertainty banking institutions are also not willing to finance the projects and they apprehend credit risk and they do not want to stick their neck around owing to implementation and operational risk. Capping of Rs. 2.5 per unit suggest by SECI in upcoming solar bids may also lukewarm participation and&nbsp;investments in solar segment.</span></p>
