Short supplies of coal has forced companies to run plants at reduced PLF. Demand is expected to rise up in the coming month due to festive season and power crisis situation may worsen up. Government has prioritized supply of coal to PSU power plants while Private generator suffer from short coal supplies. Private generators have alleged that inadequate supplies of coal may force them to shut-down generation from the plant, which may further deepen the power crisis.</span></p> <p><span style="font-size:9.0pt">Government must mull over enhancing mining capacities of coalfield and establish dedicated corridor for supplies of coal to thermal plants, so that generators woes of short coal supplies could be addressed effectively. Power sector is backbone of economy and industrial growth, ignorance of issues may impeded growth of economy.</span></p>
