Easing invoicing process for generators

In this lockdown situation renewable energy developer are facing issue in issuing Invoice and sending hard copies to Discoms. In a resolution to arising situation, MNRE has issued directive to issue digital invoice and that would be acceptable by discoms to release payments. In case JMR could not be signed then picture of meter reading or downloaded meter data can suffice.

All solar, wind, hybrid, small hydro, waste-to-energy, biomass power generating stations are expected to submit hard copies within 15 working days whenever lockdown ends. This will ease liquidity position of generators and will assist in maintaining sustainability of renewable energy generators.
