GHMC Plans Development Works in Amberpet Constituency

  • The GHMC would be taking up road restoration works amounting to Rs.75 lakh on roads on which city buses ply in Amberpet constituency areas. Similarly, the corporation engineers were also instructed to take up construction of CC roads in other localities of the constituency.This was stated by GHMC Commissioner M.T. Krishna Babu in a meeting held to review developmental works in Amberpet constituency. The meeting was attended by the Amberpet legislator G. Kishen Reddy and corporators of the area.

  • The meeting was also informed the disciplinary action would be initiated against engineers if they held up payments for the works done by contractors.The Commissioner also informed that engineers were already instructed for not asking town planning clearance for renovation of community halls as pointed out by Mr. Kishen Reddy. The GHMC would also take up works pertaining to other departments provided they did not cost much. The elected representatives were also told that the colony parks could be handed over to the Resident Welfare Associations (RWA), if they were willing.

  • The corporators urged Mr. Krishna Babu to allot houses at Veerannagutta and take up a Face-to-Face programme at zonal-level.They complained that the veterinary officials were releasing the dogs and monkeys in Amberpet constituency . Instructions were given to officials to take up dog catching operations between 10 p.m. and 5 a.m.The Congress floor leader, Kaleru Venkatesh, Standing Committee member Diddi Rambabu, corporators K. Umarani, Mohd. Farooquddin, Adapa Chandramouli, G. Sridevi, Zonal Commissioner, Illambarthi, Additional Commissioner, K. Dhanunjay Reddy, E-in-C R. Dhan Singh, Deputy Commissioner M.S.S. Somaraju, officials from water works and APCPDCL participated in the meeting.
