Minister Assures of Development Works in Villages

  • Cooperative Minister Gaurishankar Bisen has said that paucity of funds will not be allowed to come in the path of rural development.The work of connecting village roads with main roads is among the top priorities of the State Government.Bisen was performing bhumi poojan of Behari-Lendejhari-Barbaspur-Kayadi Road in Balaghat district the other day. He also performed bhumi poojan of 13.05 kilometre long Birsola-Khumariya-Khursodi Road.The road will be built at a cost of Rs 2.5 crore under the NABARD scheme.Cooperative Minister said that the Government will not compromise on the quality during the construction works.He urged the people’s representatives to monitor construction works constantly.

  • The Minister informed that a high-level bridge will be constructed over Bainganga River at Jagpur Ghat. He also sanctioned five new hand-pumps for Kayadi village.Bisen also performed bhumi poojan of buildings of higher secondary school, gram panchayat and dispensary at village Khara.Besides sanctioning Rs 5 lakh for developing sports ground at villages Khara and Mohgaon, he also sanctioned funds for installing 12 hand-pumps.He inspected paddy procurement centre at village Khara. He informed that paddy procurement centres have been opened at village Tengnikalan in Lalbarra development block and village Kumhari in Balaghat development block.
