Maharashtra Seamless Commissions 5 MW Solar Power Project

  • Maharashtra Seamless has achieved a major milestone with commissioning of 5MW (AC) Solar Power project on Jan 6, 2012. The project is located at Pokaran, District Jaisalmer, Rajasthan.The project was allotted under Jawahar Lal National Solar Mission (JNNSM) by NTPC Vidyut Vyapar Nigam (NVVN), the Nodal agency under Ministry of New and Renewable Energy (MNRE). The PPA for the project was signed on Jan 10, 2011 and as per the PPA the project was to be commissioned by Jan 9, 2012. The power plant will generate 9.588 million units of electricity annually.MSL is already in the field of renewable energy and is operating 20 wind mills producing 7MW power in the district Satara, Maharashtra.Shares of the company gained Rs 4.2, or 1.34%, to settle at Rs 318.20. The total volume of shares traded was 809 at the BSE (Tuesday).
